Oversized White Culatta Leather Box Bag
This oversized, unstructured shoulder bag is handcrafted from a butter-soft 1.2mm vegetable-tanned albino culatta leather, revealing subtle layers of subdermal cordovan beneath its pale surface. Natural grain variations and scarring add depth and character to the off-white hide.
Unlined and intentionally raw, the bag features tonal overlocked hand-stitched side seams in 0.6mm hand-waxed Japanese linen thread. Its geometric silhouette is subtly contrasted by deconstructed side panels, a custom lock-stitch finish, and a signature lock key front closure.
Inside, a series of functional pockets offer space for your phone, cards, and small essentials. The adjustable, hand-stitched shoulder strap is disconnected for a fluid, deconstructed look, and complemented by custom raw iron hardware throughout. A large hand-forged iron hook enables strap adjustment, while the .925 sterling silver zipper pull and key ring—slow oxidised over 8 hours—introduce a refined metallic contrast.
Each metal component will age uniquely, evolving in color and texture as it interacts with the natural oils of the leather over time, developing a patina rich in rusted nuances.
