Meticulously hand-cut from butter-soft, full-grain 1.6mm vegetable-tanned horse culatta, this long wallet embodies artisanal precision and timeless character. The leather is washed, tumbled, and aniline-dyed in a rotten corpse matte black, producing a deep, organic tone with subtle variations unique to each piece.
Culatta is a prized cut that combines the dense rear (just above the cordovan), the belly middles, and hind shanks — delivering a tight grain, a structured feel, and a medium-to-firm temper. The traditional vegetable tanning process, using natural extracts such as tree bark, ensures a robust, age-worthy finish.
Crafted entirely by hand over a 20-hour period without machines, the wallet is hand-stitched with 0.65mm Japanese linen thread, waxed and object-dyed in matte black. Its open-seam front panel construction is echoed in the leather strap, which secures a hand-forged iron coffin nail — a subtle nod to brutalist detail.
Inside, multiple card slots accommodate up to 18 cards, alongside a Riri M4 zipper coin pocket, finished with a custom .925 sterling silver zipper pull, oxidized by hand over 10 hours.
A discreet rear compartment fits a passport or unfolded banknotes and features our signature branding, engraved into the leather with minimal interruption.
Each wallet is delivered in a handmade leather pouch.
